Mgr. Filip Dus

Attorney-at-law

About me

I studied law and legal science at Masaryk University in Brno, I also spent one semester in Saarbrücken, Germany. I have completed internships in the field of environmental and consumer law. After graduating in 2016, I gained three years of experience in the non-profit sector, mainly in the field of foreign and asylum law. I passed the bar exam in October 2022.

I focus primarily on issues related to the residency of foreigners, (i.e., proceedings before the Ministry of the Interior – Department of Asylum and Migration Policy, the Foreign Police, and administrative courts). A specific and very interesting area of my specialization is the Czech citizenship of descendants of those who fled Czechoslovakia in the last century. Another area I often deal with is labor law.

I am a member of the Association of Immigration Lawyers in the Czech Republic and cooperate with the Consortium of Non-Governmental Organizations Working with Migrants.

I also provide legal services in English and, to a limited extent, in German.
